United Way Australia

United Way Australia Limited will seek to fulfil its Mission by:

1. Subscribing to the Global Standards of United Way International.
2. Establishing a strong, well recognised United Way brand, providing stewardship of the United Way Community Funds of Australia brand and guardianship of our brand identity and all trade marks associated with United Way Australia
3. Encouraging other like community organisations to adopt the vision of United Way and to become members of United Way Australia.
4. Developing and implementing strategic concepts and plans to enhance the effectiveness of United Way member programs.
5. Maintaining a Code of Conduct to promote the integrity and reputation of United Way.
6. Providing the facility for peer to peer liaison between members encouraging “best practice” to improve the effectiveness of their respective operations, by developing and maintaining consistent standards, processes and protocols for national corporate programs implemented by network members.
7. Facilitating training for members’ key professional staff in such areas as fund raising, grant making and community development.
8. Assisting to develop and enhance national philanthropic partnerships with corporations.
9. Liaising with government on matters that impact on the status and operations of United Way members.
10. Providing a link with the United Way Global Initiative to derive benefit from the collective experience of United Way member funds around the world.
